Vassilios E. Tritakis, MD

Born in Volos in 1956. He obtained his degree in Medicine from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and went on with an internship in Pathology for 3 years in order to save money and pursue other studies of his choice.

Since 1983 he has studied in schools in China, India, and Thailand, subjects as diverse as Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Yoga, Ayurveda, Unani Medicine, Thai Massage and Colon Cleansing.

He continued with shorter courses (1-2 months each) at selected therapists and traditional hospitals in Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Chiang Mai, Japan, Hong Kong, Java and Bali.

At New York's Columbia University he followed the official Phytotherapy course taught to physicians and pharmacists. In order to stay informed about European developments, he pursued studies at the International Phytotherapy Institute, Brussels.

Dr Tritakis has traveled to 70 countries, has studied in 80 botanical gardens, and owns a collection of thousands of herb pictures.

Since 1989 he practices Holistic Medicine in Volos, Greece.
